a strong film

This movie is a classic example of how a outstanding movie is not made by star power or cgi effects, but by a solid premise and magnificent execution.

_Mail Order Wife_ is a movie when it comes to Andrew, a young and arrogant filmmaker, who decides he’d like to make a documentary regarding Adrian, an NYC boy who has decisive to order himself a mail order bride. An prompt problem is staged when Andrew helps pay for Lichi, the Burmese woman, and brings up a classic dilemma with regards to moviemaking also addressed in great films like _Man Bits Dog_–Andrew is already showing signs of getting involved with his subject matter a little too subjectively. This is reinforced after Lichi arrives and Adrian turns out to be much less than an idealisti husband, and Andrew decides that he needs to rescue this woman from an amazing situation.

This may sound like the premise of a light, romantic comedy, or a hackneyed Lifetime made-for-TV, but what I revealed so far is only the original 30 minutes of this 90-minute film, because things don’t move along so easily, and that’s because these characters aren’t without apparent effort categorizable, which is also a sign of strong filmmaking. Andrew has his own problems, with an inordinate sense of ‘normalcy’ and an arrogance streak that leaves him, in his own mind, justified in everything he does. Adrian, even though a twisted man, is in some way charmingly simple. And Lichi isn’t plainly a quiet, victimized Asian girl, but one who has her own ulterior motives.

_Mail Order Wife_ is a comedy with dark undertones–there are wondrous subtle moves, like how Andrew is always carrying his director’s notebook even when involved in ‘personal’ conversations, and (you’ve seen it in the credits above) a surprising aspect by Jose Canseco, but these are likewise very troubling characters, played by unfamiliar actors to help make the mock-documentary motif seem all the more plausible. The movie takes a great deal of unpredictable and sensible turns, that makes 90 minutes feel like a satisfyingly huge glimpse into these people’s lives.

I would highly commend this film to many, and I relish in the fact that such a little budget may result in such a fantasti endeavor.

Completely Original!!!

I picked this up in the antecedently viewed DVD rack at my local Blockbuster store. I don’t in truth recognise what motivated me to buy it because to be rather frank I assumed it would be awful. But, to my amazement, it was rather the opposite!

This very quirkly, altogether primary work is full of unexpected twists and turns, from time to time bordering on unbearably offensive and other times hysterically funny. The storyline is so audacious that I often found my mouth hanging open in disbelief. I was exclusively engaged by the story and the offbeat characters, and I too thought I was watching a documentary until the closing credits revealed that it was a exclusively fictional experience.

I won’t go into the plot of this offbeat wonder, but I will say that I highly commend it. It will stay with you long after it’s over.

If you may get over the darkness, you ought to take delight in this film.

If you are thinking that Mail Order Wife is another one of those zany comedies, you would be wrong. Put it back on the shelf and rent something else.

If nevertheless you like movies that make you think, and that work with you on a good deal of levels, then you may receive pleasure from this indie sleeper.

When you break it down, Mail Order Wife is the story of three lonely people. All losers in a lot of way whether by life, circumstance or plainly character.

Adrian, the sad sack New York doorman, orders a mail order bride with the support of Andrew, a documentary film maker. When Lichi arrives she is speedily exploited basi by Adrian, then by Andrew. Lichi who at original is vulnerable, speedily becomes and exploiter as well, altho she may be forgiven given her circumstances.

This is a film where every one is using everyone else, yet all seem unmindful to the fact of what they are doing.

What I did like in regards to the movie is that you are never rather sure where it is going, and as it moved toward the climax I had no clue how it would end.

It is the morning after, and I am still thinking regarding this film.

Although the characters are not inevitably likeable,and their motivatings are unquestionably not pure, any film that makes you think is a winner in my book.

What may I say…this is a dissimilar twist. Very nice!

I was eagerly waiting for book 3 in The Bride Series (The Matchmaker Bride) to come out. Was I dissapointed? Not in the least. This novella genuinely took me by surprise with the twist near the end. I love the gorgeous heroine with the invisible disability having Asperger’s syndrome. This was integrated well in the story. Fun dialog (loved the opening line). And a sexy, hunky hero with guts and a heart of gold to reach out to her. Love the whole Niagara Falls romance scene. It makes me want to go there now. Imperfect but loveable characters. I can’t wait to see what this author has in store for book 4 in the series. A fun, intriguing page-turner. Highly commend for romance readers.

Well written…beautiful love story!

After reading the sample of The Matchmaker Bride I was exceedingly impressed and I had to download and buy the book. I love the tension among Sophie Wilson and Carlos Bradley III. The writer has a gift of writing page-turning tales that makes the reader wonder how on world the two would at long last confess their love for eachother. Loved the Niagara Falls scene. I’m a fan of the series and can’t seem to get sufficient of these wondrous bride tales. The autism twist was very special. I’m someone who may relate as it hits close to home. Highly commend for fans of the Bride Series!

Wonderfully written love story!!!!

Wow…just, wow! I couldn’t put The Matchmaker Bride down and read it in one sitting. IT IS A WELL-WRITTEN STORY!!! What a beautifully written story regarding the power of cupid’s arrow. No matter where you are, love may strike at any time. Sophie and Carlos are loveable characters. I’ve never read a romance where the heroine has the medical condition that she has. It was so adoring to see her work through her own emotions and try to keep her occupation at the matchmaking agency. The fact that Carlos necessitated a commodious wife for a custody battle of his sister with autism was likewise rather a surprising and dissimilar twist. One can not aid but cheer for these characters.

Great ebook for guys in America that are tired of feminism

Winston Wu goes to great lengths to tell his audience the truth: the dating scene in America is a nightmare for men, and there is no other way to solve this problem other than to go the overseas route.

Winston distinctly shows his readers through pictures and outstanding stories what women are like in non-Western countries. To state it rather simply, alien women do not carry the aroused and spiritual baggage that American and Western women carry. They likewise don’t have a sexual history the length of a freight train either, which is ironic because all Americans listen these days is how other cultures are sexually open. The sarcasm is, if you are looking for an beautiful virgin, you may find one more comfortable in Eastern Europe or the Philippines. Good luck in finding one here in America unless the woman is super duper undesirable.

According to Winston and some of his readers and followers that actually live overseas, meeting and dating beauteous women is as simple as just going up to them and starting a polite conversation. There is none of this “you’re making me feel creepy” American effeminate propaganda that women like to use in the U.S. Women in alien countries — namely Eastern Europe and the Philippines — are sweet, dress beautifully, and treat American men like royalty.

Think of America’s dating scene like a market, much like getting a job. If you live in a region of the country where your line of work is oversaturated (much like America is completely filled with desperate, lonely men), then you have to go where the market favors you. In America, single men way outnumber single women by a ratio of 2:1. In a heap of places like Silicon Valley, CA, it’s even worse. In America, even an ugly, fat woman may effortlessly date a skinny guy with good looks or intermediate looks. The same doesn’t utilize for men in America, who are so desperate just to find anything that they’ll go to outstanding lengths to even humilate themselves for sex and love. American and Western women, thanks to unfavorable ratios and feminsm, have the green light to treat American and Western men like garbage. And that they do!

What I also love when it comes to this ebook is Winston’s philosophical view of the world. I have never in my life seen an Asian guy with such a brilliant, philosphical mind. There have been times when I thought I was crazy thinking the way I was thinking, particularly as it appertains to America and it is awful, non-inclusive culture. However, after reading Winston’s words, I wholly feel relieved and vindicated, knowing full and well it’s society that is crazy, not me! After all, is it normal to not want to talk to humans you don’t know? Well, in America yes. But in other countries, most humans are more than willing to treat you like a buddy even if they’ve only known you a few minutes. That’s why I think American culture is so depressing. There is no connectedness, and Winston, through his philosphical mind and overseas life experiences proves this once and for all.

I highly commend this ebook and without apparent effort give it five stars. Good occupation Winston on putting together a outstanding book.

Completely open and honest

I give hope or courage to anybody who is frustrated with their social and/or dating life in the US or other westernized country to not only order and read “Happier Abroad” and Winston Wu’s other ebooks, but to enter his internetsite site: [...] and go through everything. You will need a lot of time (weeks perchance even months) because there’s a lot of rich material. But if you approach it all with an open mind, you may discover a concrete way to resolve all of your greatest frustrations, a new hope. The books and motion are for all unsatisfied men, any race, any age. There’s something out there for you.

I’ve read most of what he’s written, viewed 100s of his photos and videos, participated in his forum, and even met him once in person. This guy is the real deal. He will not lie or BS regarding anything just to make a buck. He altogether discloses himself – personal identity and life experience, photos, videos, the works – just to aid lonely guys find their pleasure abroad.

So aid him. He is veritably on your side. “Happier Abroad” book and motion is man’s most recent answer to the feminist motion and the ‘lock-down’ our society imposes on us.

Global dating is the way!

An magnificent book that fundamentally refutes the widespread faith that if one does not date within the same country amid it is native born citizens, that person is in some manner a ” loser”. Surprisingly, in such an open and ethnically mixed country as the US, it is still frowned upon for a man to view the whole world as a place to date. If the man cannot get a successful date and build a happy love life in his own land, then something is unquestionably faulty with him…NOT! Sometimes a country is also a variable.
The author shows that contrary to the picture portrayed by Hollywood of America as a great paradise or sex and romance, while other countries are shown as dull and conservative, things are ofttimes rather the opposite- there are a good deal of lonely and disconnected persons in the US, and, particularly, a lot of lonely guys who can not find a date through no fault of their own. Misdirected feminism, an exceedingly high divorce rate, standard paranoia and fear of strangers as well as anti-male propaganda makes America a hellish place to date for a lot of men.
It is time to add a few countries to the US and commence dating in places where women still act effeminate and respect men and where American gentlemen are desirable dates, husbands and boyfriends because of their good reputation and not because the women want to come to the US and get green cards.
Anyone who feels that he is a good person and a kind man, but who still gets blown off by women in the USA for no apparent reason ought to buy and read this book and it is guaranteed to give him a fresh new hope and new lease on his dating life.

Don’t buy

This is a very crude device that will provide you with more frustation than service. For one thing, the touch screen does not work with your fingers (it is supposed to work, but it practically does not) You have to use a stylus or a lot of other sharp thing and use it to drag the screen up and down. Second, the speakers give out closely no sound. You have to use earphones or you don’t listen a thing. Third, practically no apps to download. It does not have a flash player so you cannot stream in audio or video from a web site. Fourth, the minuscule instruction manual is worthless, plus it is written in such broken English that you don’t know what they are talking about.
I will be throwing this piece of chinese junk away shortly.

Do not waste your time or cash on this product. After mine quit working I sent it back in to get a refund.
Mind you I only employed this thing for with regards to a week. Well they refused to refund my cash and wanted to send it to factory for repair. I told them to keep it. Do not buy from Extreme Gadgets, RIP OFFS

Not the biggest Hi-Tech gadget I have owned

Yes, I likewise got my percentage of SOME (not complete) disappointment with 7″ Android Tablet PC. I purchased two of them: for myself and for my wife to put under the Christmas tree as little holiday gifts. They arrived much rapidly and without delay than I was expecting and, of course, I could not wait and opened mine to check it out. I may be in a better mood than most of you, guys and girls, because I purchased my Androids by way of web from Chinese manufacturer “Ethernal” directly and remunerated only $85/each including deliverance from Donguang to my doorsteps in New Jersey. They have Android 2.2 system inside, cameras (quite bad ones) apps for reading eBooks, observing videos, Skype, Wi-Fi, 3G, photos, games and a good deal of other. I for the most part purchased them for books and videos. At basi I was rather disappointed with their performance: touchscreen is closely not as responsive as iPOD or iPAD or iPHONE… Yet, after a while I got applied to it. I without delay downloaded eReader just to discover that on Android it does not “understand” Russian language (half of my reading material is in Russian). To my surprise, in the first place installed iReader handled any language encoding rather easily. I use Calibre software on my laptop to convert my books to TXT format and them just send them to the Android and – VOILA!- I may read anything I want. To my surprise, even altho a heap of other functions seem to be slow and more or less half-frozen, Androids native iReader and video player work rather well. Also, it has YOUTUBE pre-installed and while Google and other web internet sites load tardily thru Wi-Fi, YouTUBE’s videos play breathtakingly fast and smooth. So, basically, what I wanted from it so far works OK. Still, this device in frequent is a “half-baked cookie”, so I give it greatest or most complete or best possible 3 stars. I thought that I may stop using my iPOD Touch after Android comes… No, not a chance.

This could modify everything for guys in the dating scene

First, I gotta say I liked the writing style. It was so conversational I frankly forgot I was reading. I’ve never experienced that before in a book. The guy makes some good points. The American dating scene is not what it used to be and may be frustrating. I consorted with what he said there.

What’s aweinspiring is how I felt like this could be very rightful and accessible to the intermediate American man. If that is the case, then women here are going to have a great deal of competition. If any guy may be so “Golden”, as Mark puts it, to these women that he may fetch one home, he is going to be the jealousy of each other guy. Who wouldn’t want to have a gorgeous woman ten years younger who puts you primary in her thoughts and energies.

He’s got an astounding how-to segment that walks you through from landing in the country, introductions, dating, finding one, and what it takes to get her home. It sounded like a very cool adventure. I felt like I could relate to Mark and he has galore interesting stories. I’ve got to say I was very glad there were dozens of photos throughout. It’s a guy thing.

International dating could alter everything. I hope a lot of guys get this book. We may see numerous alter in the American dating scene too. I think the contest would be good.

A must-read for all single men.

Mark Edward Davis’s book MASTERING THE ADVENTURE OF INTERNATIONAL DATING is a must read! I think any individual searching for their true love would agree. This book gives hope and a path for each man who is looking to find true love. It explained everything I need to do and covered all of the worries I had with regards to global dating. Since the time I basi heard Mark on a radio interview, I started writing to a dozen or so of these aweinspiring women. I’m now corresponding with the various gorgeous ladies from the Ukraine and will be meeting each of them in person next month! Mark made me conscious of the Web web site SheIsThere.com and his community internet site iDating4Men.com a few months ago. Now that I recognise I will go to the Ukraine to get eye to eye with these women, this book has become priceless to me.

The book is very easy to read. You see, I am one of those guys who doesn’t like to read. I haven’t read any whole book cover to cover in a while; yet I read through this one in a few days. The pictures are very helpful to perceive this thing that I’ve never done before and yet feel like I know what to suppose when I get there. Knowing what is going to take place is wonderful. The ideas on how to handle what is going to occur are likewise great. I looked up all those profiles. WOW. The things I learned are invaluable.

Whoever you are reading this; buy a copy and find out for yourself.

Great Book! I learned so much regarding global dating!

I didn’t know what to suppose when I purchased the book and by the end of the introductory chapter I was so glad that I ordered it! Mark is a good author and his personal experiences make it so fun to read. I am in my mid forties and had given up on dating and now after reading “Mastering the Adventure of International Dating” I am ready to go overseas to meet my soulmate!! With Mark’s guidance I am hoping to make it over to the Ukraine this summer – I can’t wait!! My self selfconfidence just rose 110% and I am ready to meet the woman of my dreams!! Mail Order Latina Brides

YES, it genuinely is possible. I love to see men’s curious expression when I tell them how I went overseas and found my dream lover in Latin America. Then when I tell them she is 25 years younger than me and a Halle Berry lookalike they actually begin with the questions that I’ve grown accustomed to hearing. “Really?” as in, “Is it actually possible?” followed almost by, “Why not in the US?” and then, “Can I do it, too?”

The Latin American influence in this book is only because it’s where I live and work. There are beautiful, sincere, intellectual women in each country in the world who are looking for good husbands. Even if you still cling to the hope that you will be competent to find your dream woman in your own country this book will be immensely helpful for you.

Learn what it will cost and how long it will take. Learn how to take your firstborn romance vacation, what to say to the women and how to fabricate a long lasting, loving relationship. I wish I had this book 5 years ago. It would have saved me thousands of dollars and I’d have gotten the woman of my dreams years sooner.

Good Read, and It May Even Work!

I agree with Lee’s characterization of the Americanized woman. Lee points out Americanized woman are set up by the media/popular culture to be unhappy with any man, and unhappy in general. There is though, a flip side of the Americanized woman, which is the Americanized man: who all think they must date and be loved by young, sexy, interesting women even if the men are not young and sexy or interesting. Romancing Paradise is a book written by and for Americanized men, but that’s okay, because that’s who we are.

There are a heap of factual assertions all around the book that are unsupported by sources. It is hard to tell what is fact and what is opinion. The astrology discussion, for example, is sentiment and reflects Lee’s personal experience. As I read the book I held running upon points where I wondered is that science or Lee’s personal experience.

Lee’s instructions on profile photos is an example of facts given without support–the list of dos and don’ts and what works or doesn’t work for pictures. If he interviewed women who use the dating services to find out their predilections in men’s photos, I don’t do not forget reading it.

But Mr. Lee is very pragmatic, and this book is not written for publication in scientific journals, so I guess it doesn’t matter when it comes to the sources, etc. I occur to think his assertions are right and that the book will work for the intended purpose, which is to support men find significant romantic relationships in Latin America. It is full of practical counsel that may support men meet women in far away places.

I found Romancing Paradise well written and easy reading. Whether readers may follow the reasonably intensive steps he describes is a matter of their personal fortitude. But, I think the book will work as advertised for those who are more than willing to take the counsel and pursue the journey. And for those who determine not to, it is an interesting read anyway.

A Must Read for your search for love overseas!

Romancing Paradise is a quick, fun read filled with lot of great data and tips. It lays out a assortment of choices and approaches for your traveling to find a bride over seas. I particularly loved the inspirational stories of other men succeeding in their quests.

I am glad I read the book as I begin my adventure overseas in search for love. It is a ought to read for any man beginning his quest like me.

Don’t Leave Home Without It!!

This book is a ought to read for any man from the United States (or Canada, Australia, etc) who desires to enter the stimulating world of international romance. The author has without doubt or question done his exploration and found out the hard way that going it alone is a very pricey endeavor. One may learn the hard way or learn from other men that have already been down this challenging but rewarding path. That is why I found Romancing Paradise so valuable. The author has traveled and lived in South America. He has found success with a terrifi foregin bride. He has lived this. But no less crucial is the author is not pushing a rigid one size fits all formula for success. Romancing Paradise, through the writers some overseas contacts and relationships, offers a multitude of experiences and methods for finding your dream alien bride (online, marriage agencies, etc). I give Romancing Paradise my most eminent recommendation.

Excellent

Hunted is even better than the introductory book in this series (Claimed). For one thing it is longer – which means that the author has even more room to showcase the extremely pleasing worlds that her imagination has created. Also, we still get to see what is happening with the hero and heroine of the firstborn book and a good deal of very intriguing hints of what is to some in the third and fourth books. And even altho it was long, it never dragged. I stayed up way too late finishing it.

The main romance amid Sophie and Sylvan was genuinely terrific with two damaged persons coming together. (Warning – Sophie has a traumatic event in the past that is touched upon in this book.) Sylvan was so sweet to Sophie – but of course with this author you recognise you will be getting some outstanding steamy scenes as well.

Overall just a genuinely engaging, well-written, and interesting romance. Now I can’t wait for the next one!

Bigger and better

Here’s the best thing in regards to this series: you’re not left marveling what happened to the other humans that you’ve already become attached to from prior books. While the main focus was on Sylvan & Sophie, the author acknowledges that their family and friends are still going through changes that the reader needs to know regarding to get the full Kindred world experience and the longer book allows for that. The love scenes were even hotter and thank god I’m married or I’d never be capable to keep batteries in stock!!! I loved that, even with all the drama that comes with new relationships, the women in the series pull together in times of need (be it aroused or ice cream lol). After finishing this book, I’m even more excessively affected emotionally to get to book 3 featuring Kat (she has to be my bestloved reputation so far and it was outstanding to see so much of her in book 2!) and you know what? I’ll come right out and say it… I hope Xairn get his own book, too.

Exactly As Expected

#2 in the Brides of the Kindred series, and better than the first.

This book is labeled “super plus” length, and that was actually my biggest complaint: it was too long. A lot of the book was the same scene over and over, just moving the setting where the heroine and hero engage in the no-we-shouldn’t, but yes-we-must sex scene. This is erotica, after all.

Anderson always follows the same format: the stuttering and blushing sexual innocent confronted with the overpowering maleness of her hugely endowed primitive ravisher, and a very specific fetish that I’ve never read anyplace else.

If you’ve read the author before, you recognise what to expect. If not, this is a solid introduction to her style. And in terms of bang for your buck (double entendre intended), you can’t beat the price.
